I’ve spent 30 years helping organisations change to meet the expectations of the digital world, make better use of technology and data, and stay secure. I’m now an independent consultant, with a focus on large and complex businesses, and central government organisations.

Through my non-executive roles I have an interest in health. I recently authored a report on what needs to change to meet the UK government’s digital ambitions for the NHS.

In this study, “A Fresh Mandate for Digital Leadership in the NHS”, I set out the barriers and enablers to digital transformation in the NHS.

USA Federal CIO report

I co-authored this report based on interviews with the CIOs of 12 of the largest US federal agencies, to establish how the incoming US administration could accelerate digital transformation.
